David was born and raised on the east side of Detroit, the son of an autoworker and a nurse’s aide.  He went to Michigan State University as a National Merit Scholar and graduated with Honors in 1991.  David attended law school at the University of Detroit Mercy, receiving the President’s Scholarship. He graduated Cum Laude and passed the bar in 1994. 
 
After working as a creditor’s rights attorney for more than a decade, David switched his focus to family law in 2008, and learned quickly that he preferred to represent people rather than corporations. He treats each client with compassion and empathy. As a divorced father himself, David understands his client is going through one of life’s most difficult periods, but with his help, counsel, and support, his client will get through it.

David is a proud father of three young adults.  He supports the American Red Cross, having donated more than 6 gallons of blood to their worthy cause.   In addition, David is a huge fan of the Detroit Tigers and Red Wings, and, of course, his beloved Michigan State Spartans.
